Radioactive Energy Drink Review
I have had my eye on Radioactive Energy Drink for awhile since they have one of the best slogans on an energy drink, “Catch the Glow.” Add the slogan to a sweet can that glows in the dark and you have an eye catching drink. Radioactive Energy Drink comes in a 16 ounce black can with the radioactive/nuclear warning sign in fluorescent yellow that is a great contrast against the black background. When I first got the drink I didn’t know it glowed in the dark, but I threw it in my pack to drink later. When I opened up my pack there was an eerie glow and I looked in to see all the yellow areas on the can glowing. I’m going to try and add a picture of the glowing effect, we’ll see if my photo skills are up to the challenge. Also there’s a cool effect with the can and a glass of the ice, I’ll have to try and get that on film too. The can is an attention grabber and when I whipped it out everyone wanted to check out the can and try Radioactive Energy, so if you like being at the center of things try and get your hands on one. Radioactive also has a 10 ounce can with a different design, featuring a female face with glowing eyes that is really cool. It's pictured below.
Radioactive Energy is a golden yellow color. The drink has a really nice citrus flavor with some salient blue raspberry flavor. It’s a great taste with a perfect amount of sweetness that doesn’t feel sticky and complements that tartness of the citrus. The tartness has a tiny bit of bite, but it goes well with the flavors and makes you want to drink more. It’s really smooth going down while having a crystalline quality to it that’s hard to describe. I would say the quality is most similar to Gazzu, but a little rougher around the edges since Radioactive is not trying to be cosmic, but stronger and bolder. The blue raspberry goes particularly well with the crystalline quality to the drink and the result is one of the best tasting berry drinks easily beating out Jones Energy Drink and Bad Boy Power Drink. Despite being a “radioactive” drink Radioactive Energy goes down exceedingly smooth and is really a pleasure to drink.
After you drink Radioactive Energy Drink prepare yourself for a nice kick. I chalk up the strong boost to the massive Vitamin B12 (5000%), combination of guarana, taurine, carnitine and Siberian ginseng. This is a drink that I found pushed off exhaustion and kept me mentally sharp for hours. The nutritional facts are 220 calories, 56 grams sugar, 1000 mg of taurine, and 200 mg guarana. An important point is that there is no HFCS and no artificial coloring like most of the energy drinks out there. The other important ingredients of note are sucrose, taurine, guarana, caffeine, L-carnitine, milk thistle, inositol, gingko, B Vitamins, siberian ginseng, and sucralose.
